Doctor Delgado has completed a fellowship at the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute at the UCLA School of Medicine, he has presented at conferences by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Doctor Delgado has been published in domestic and international journals, and in accord with Medical Tourism Solutions’ dedication to social responsibility, he has incorporated a philanthropic mission into his practice.

Dr. Delgado spent two years at the world renowned Jules Stein Eye Institute, where he completed his fellowship with UCLA. During this time Dr. Delgado completed his training in ocular plastic and reconstructive surgery, working with well-regarded names such as Dr. Robert Goldberg, Dr. Norman Shorr, and Dr. John McCann.

Dr. Delgado is an expert in performing eye related surgeries and his emphasis is on LASIK or PRK eye surgery with Wavefront technology, LASIK or PRK with presbiopia, and blefaroplasty (eye-lid and eye-brow surgery). Since his time studying in the United States, Dr. Delgado has presented at conferences in countries such as Chile, Venezuela, and Puerto Rico.

International Publications

Dr. Delgado has been published in the Facial Plastic Surgery Clinics of North America Journal as well as Journal of the Colombian Ophthalmology Society. His article with Dr. Goldberg that appeared in Facial Plastic Surgery Clinics is a well-known article on blepharoplasty (eye-lid surgery) and is regularly cited in publications to this date.

Colombia has been a medical destination for many years, especially in the areas of ocular plastic surgery and ophthalmology, where we have developed several innovative techniques.

Giving Back

Dr. Delgado is a believer in the socially conscious mission of Medical Tourism Solutions and has incorporated this philosophy into his life and medical practice since his days as a resident. He spent a number of years volunteering with the Colombian Area Patrol, in which doctors were flown into rural areas of Colombia to treat children lacking access to quality healthcare. In addition, he continues to volunteer his time and skills donating surgeries to those in need on a regular basis.
